Organizers of October 19 demonstration in defense of constitution accused of illegal action

Minsk, 24 October. The demonstration in defense of the constitution which took place in Minsk on October 19 had consequences for its organizers.
On October 23, two police officers visited the office of MP Alyaksandr Bukhvostaw, a member of the organizing committee. They told him that the organizing committee was charged with illegal action entailing the disorganization of street traffic by an unauthorized march from Yakub Kolas Square to Paris Commune Square. On the request of the officers, Mr. Bukhvostaw wrote an explanatory note, after which he was informed that the case would go to trial in the near future.
In this regard, many of those who participated in the demonstration ask no charges have been brought against the organizers of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly which entail the blocking of Masheraw Avenue.
