She said in an interview with journalists that campaigning for elections to the upper house of parliament will begin on August 18. She said the elections should be held by November 18.

Yermoshina also said that Lukashenko has instructed the CEC to prepare a draft presidential decree on CEC members with advisory vote.

This decision, according to her, will "certainly make the election process more transparent and will make it possible for those parties that will nominate their candidatures for parliament to have their representatives in the CEC."
